Home Decor Dropshipping Suppliers & Products to Sell

Home Decor Dropshipping Suppliers & Products to Sell

Today, I will provide you a list of the best home décor products to sell, along with the best suppliers you can rely on in the home décor dropshipping niche,

I made this selection based on experience and research. For example, I used sales data to come up with a list of the best home décor products for dropshipping.

You will learn:

  • Best products to dropship in the home décor niche
  • A list of suppliers that can provide top-quality home décor products
  • Reasons to sell home décor

In the end, I am hoping that this article can help you decide whether or not the home décor niche is for you. The list should also give you ideas of what products go together or are worth best together.

Reasons to Sell Home Décor

Home décor is a product that is in consistent demand. According to Statista, the home décor market amounts to USD 133 billion in 2024 [1]. Yes, that is the sales figure for 2024 only.

Experts say that they expect the industry to grow by 3.89% by 2029. This growth is steady, which is good for retailers.

Here are the best reasons to sell home decor:

  • Lots of products and suppliers
  • The demand is consistent
  • Shipping is affordable
  • You can personalize customize or personalize the products.

Let us take a closer look at each one.

1. Lots of products and suppliers

Just go to AliExpress and you will see the sheer volume of home decor products. There is no shortage of products you can choose from. Here are some examples:

  • Lamps (both standard designs and decorative ones)
  • Bed sheets and pillowcases
  • Throw pillows for the sofa
  • Wall clocks
  • Candles
  • Rugs and mats

In the next section, I will provide you with more information about what to sell. As far as suppliers go, any dropshipping supplier database has home décor products. Be it Spocket, AppScenic, or HyperSKU, they all have reliable suppliers you can count on.

2. The demand is consistent

There is consistent demand for home décor. It is not a seasonal product. If customers are happy with their purchase, they will surely come back for more.

Just think about it. If a customer buys a wall clock from you and is satisfied, don’t you think he will also buy a rug or a mat? He will.

In addition, you do not need to wait for a specific season to find customers. The home décor niche is not like the ski niche that only matters during the snowy season.

3. Shipping is affordable

Home décor products are not as big as furniture. Unless, of course, you sell huge grandfather clocks, which I do not recommend.

Home décor items are small. What this means for you is that you do not have to pay a lot of money for shipping. Many sellers even offer shipping for free. Here, take a look:

Free shipping is attractive to buyers. The only caveat with free shipping is that it can take a while for the item to arrive at its destination. You can explain this to the customer and set proper expectations.

The alternative is to offer expedited shipping, which will cost extra. However, the beauty of it is that you still leave this choice to the customer.

4. You can personalize or customize or personalize the product

Finally, you can customize home décor products and sell them under your brand. This process, called print-on-demand (POD), gives you the advantage of being unique.

The screenshot above shows a “blank” wall clock. With a POD service like Printify, you can add your design and make it look like this:

It is up to you to choose what design to add. Because of this, you can even turn your home décor dropshipping store into something that has a particular theme, like nature, pet, rock metal music, graffiti style, etc.

The one issue I have with home décor is its dependency on fad. What used to be hot yesterday may be out of fashion now.

The good news is that in dropshipping, you do not need to buy inventory. Because of that, you will never lose money even if your products go out of style. You just have to replace them with new stocks.

Top Home Décor Products to Dropship

1. Throw Pillows

Throw pillows are part of every household. They look good on sofas and even in beds. As you can see from the image above, some products have over 100,000 ratings or reviews.

You do not need to limit yourself to white ones, as there are many designs you can choose from. Here are some examples:

  • Rectangle throw pillows
  • Special shapes, like stars or flowers
  • Printed throw pillows

You can also add pillowcases to your store. I suggest that you make it part of a bundle. Better yet, allow the consumer to choose a specific type of pillowcase.

One final recommendation I have is to sell these pillows using print-on-demand services. In this case, it is you who will design the pillow prints. You can also ask your customer to send you a photo that they want printed on the pillowcase.

2. Picture Frames and Canvas Arts

A screenshot of a websiteDescription automatically generated

Walls look empty, and that is why it is easy to sell wall art. Though the competition is high, you can reduce it by using print-on-demand services like Printify to create unique products and reduce competition.

Have a look at this:

You can upload your design on Printify and sell art that only you have. Since it is your design, you are competing against no one.

When selling wall art, I suggest that you do the following things

  • Allow customers to send you images of what they want printed on the pillow
  • Create various categories for the wall art
  • Sell in a bundle or three (small, medium, large)

You can create categories like sci-fi, horror, nature or flowers, pets, abstract art, etc. Once a customer goes to your store and clicks nature, all the wall art he will see is about nature, like the meadows, the sea, the mountains, etc.

Bundling also makes sense. For example, you can have a huge print or design that fits on three canvasses. This way, it is important for the customer to buy three canvasses to see the full image.

3. Candles and Candle Holders

A screenshot of a websiteDescription automatically generated

Candles do not just sell in November when people celebrate All Saints’ or All Souls’ Day. There are many scented candles used for yoga, relaxation, meditation, etc.

The best types of candles to sell are:

  • Flameless candles
  • Aromatherapy candles
  • Unscented and smokeless candles
  • Jar candles

What I recommend is to create a store dedicated to this kind of product, or at least a store in the meditation and relaxation niches. While you can combine candles in a typical home décor store, there is more success to it as an independent one.

Why? It is because you want to be a candle specialist or a meditation specialist. Just imagine if you have hundreds of candles in your store, plus incense products and accessories. It is almost impossible for someone not to make a purchase.

4. Rugs and Carpets

Rugs are in consistent demand because they make a seemingly dull room into an elite one. It also provides a space for babies to crawl on.

There are many types of rugs, and the most popular are:

  • Distressed
  • Wool
  • Cotton
  • Jute
  • Seagrass
  • Synthetic

The easiest to sell among these is the synthetic one because it is affordable. Here are some of my recommendations when selling rugs:

  • Be clear on the dimensions
  • State the product material
  • Do not modify the images
  • Stage the rugs

What I mean by not modifying is that you must not use clickbait or misleading images. Some sellers put a baby’s photo on the rug, making the rug look bigger than it is. While this can increase your sales, it reduces your credibility.

You can also stage the rug, which means you need to place it in a living room or bedroom for demonstration purposes. If you are not satisfied with the images given by the supplier, you can use AI programs, like Flair, to create product photography.

For more details on how you can use artificial intelligence in dropshipping, I recommend that you read our blog post: Dropshipping With AI: Tips on the Best AI and How to Use Them in Dropshipping.

5. Clocks and White Noise Machines

Clocks are still in demand, but the ones you want are the digital types that people put on the bedside table. Wall clocks also have a customer base, but you would do well if you do print-on-demand wall clocks that your customers can personalize.

The white noise machine is one that you may want to focus on. It is a kind of machine that hums a specific sound. While most people use it to put babies to sleep, it is also useful for adults.

Here is a screenshot of what they look like:

White noise machines produce a consistent type of sound that helps a person relax. Because of this, the user can concentrate or focus better on his work or fall asleep.

6. Curtains

Curtains and drapes are excellent home décor products. If customers are satisfied, chances are they will buy more. As you can see from the screenshot above, the products have over a hundred thousand reviews.

The different types of curtains I suggest you sell are:

  • Blackout
  • Pinch Pleat
  • Tab top
  • Grommet
  • Rod Pocket
  • Eyelet
  • Sheer
  • Thermal
  • Tie top

I also suggest that you dedicate a store for this, regardless of the selling platform you use. You want a store that sells nothing but curtains and curtain accessories.

Some accessories that I recommend are curtain rods, brackets, tension rods, ring clips, poles, holdbacks, and finials.

7. Artificial Plants and Flowers

We all know how difficult it is to grow plants, let alone maintain them. They can attract all sorts of life, from bacteria to flies and mosquitoes. This is why there is a demand for artificial plants—they require little to no maintenance.

From my observation, artificial green plants sell more than artificial flowers, but that should not stop you from selling both.

Some of the best types to sell are:

  • Eucalyptus
  • Topiary types
  • Olive
  • Hanging plants

It is a good idea to combine this niche with vases. In addition, you can also sell fake soil, or fake moss that can add flair to the decorative style of these plants.

While some of these synthetic plants come in color, I still recommend that you concentrate your efforts on green ones. Colored artificial plants are difficult to match, but green ones are universal.

8.  Lamps, Oil Lamps, and Fragrance Lamps

The best lamps and lighting decors are those that can be controlled via mobile apps. However, they are also expensive. Because of this, I suggest that you start with the traditional ones—manual controls.

Here are some examples:

  • Torch lamps
  • Dimmable bedside table lamps
  • Reading lamps
  • Corner RGB lamps

This is the kind of product where you must use AI for photography. The lighting is so important that you must not rely on what the suppliers provide you as marketing material.

It is also important that you provide electrical specifications, especially if you are selling internationally. Because of this, I will not suggest this product to those who have little knowledge about electricity.

The workaround, however, is to find a local supplier and sell to that country only (you can ensure that products work for that country).

9. Indoor Fountains and Accessories

The indoor fountains that sell the most are the small ones, not life-sized. Small indoor fountains are affordable and easy to place—they easily fit on tabletops and side tables.

Here are some things to consider:

  • Waterfalls with lighting are always more attractive than plain ones
  • This uses power, so ensure you mention the voltage
  • Tell the consumers about fire hazard tips

Work with suppliers who can ship the items in huge bubble wraps. Most of these are too fragile. The last thing you want is for them to break apart during shipment.

10. Ceramics and Pottery

Our final product is ceramics and pottery. Some of these can be used with flowers, and some can be standalone products. This niche is a great addition to artificial flowers.

The best ones to sell are:

  • Set ceramics
  • Standalone decorative pieces
  • China pieces
  • Earth tones

The biggest challenge in selling a product like this is breakage. That is why I will only recommend selling this after you place an order from a supplier. You need to manually inspect their shipping methodology to ensure the item is packed well.

Best Home Décor Suppliers for Dropshipping

Although all dropship database suppliers have home decor items, not all of them can give you the best products and services in this niche. Based on my research and experience, the five best ones are:

  • Syncee
  • HyperSKU
  • AppScenic
  • Printify
  • SaleHoo

Let us take a look at each one.

1. Syncee – best for Western suppliers

Syncee is known for its huge catalog of products. If you are looking for suppliers in the West, then Syncee is the best site for dropshipping home décor. They have many suppliers from the US, Canada, and the UK.

Syncee Features

  • Integration – you can integrate Syncee with Shopify, Wix, Squarespace, BigCommerce, EKM, and many other platforms. However, there is a limit to the number of products you can import, and this limit depends on your plan.
  • Wholesale Options – if you are ready to scale your business, you can work with suppliers on a wholesale level. You will pay for the inventory, yet they will take care of the warehousing and shipping. This wholesale business model is not a requirement, but rather an option available to big dropshippers.
  • Automation – you can automate your dropshipping business in many ways. For example, you can program it in a way that the orders process on their own through PayPal, Stripe, or a credit card you can also automate the shipment tracking and order syncing processes.

Syncee does not have a minimum order requirement, and they offer fast shipping. In addition, you can process orders in bulk, not one by one (if you do not want the automation process).

2. HyperSKU – best customization and warehousing

HyperSKU offers two things that most dropship suppliers don’t—warehousing your products and customization. This customization applies to packaging, but you can also work with them using a private-label business model.

HyperSKU Features

  • Vetted Suppliers – there are over 2,000 suppliers in HyperSKU, all of which are vetted, or approved. These suppliers have factories, so they are not just retailers. In addition, many of them offer either white-label or private-label business models.
  • Order Fulfillment – the HyperSKU system offers a way to do bulk orders. It only takes a few clicks to process all orders at once. A feature like this is important as it saves you time. Instead of ordering per product, just select all the orders and pay for them at once.
  • Customization and Branding – you can work with suppliers in terms of branding. For a small price, they will insert cards or use stickers that have your logo or design, making the products look like yours.

One thing to note about HyperSKU is that the system only integrates with WooCommerce and Shopify. If you want to dropship on Amazon, eBay, or Etsy, you cannot, you will have to choose another supplier.

3. AppScenic – best for AI dropshipping

AppScenic Features

  • Artificial Intelligence – the AI feature of AppScenic is powerful. You can ask the AI to write product descriptions, upscale the images, score your title with SEO ratings, and more. You can also ask it to improve your product titles.
  • Integrations – the platform integrates with WooCommerce, Shopify, Wix, Ecwid, eBay, and more. With only one system, you can sell on different channels. Essentially, you can manage several stores from one system.
  • Vetted Suppliers – all suppliers here went through a process to meet AppScenic standards. Because of this, you can rest assured that all the suppliers are reliable. For one, the standard shipping speed that AppScenic requires is 2 two to five days.

In addition to the shipping expectation, AppScenic uses an escrow. The money you pay is put on hold, and the suppliers will not get it right away. They can only get the funds after a specific period has passed, which guarantees that you can ask for a refund if your customer is not happy.

4. Printify – best for print-on-demand (POD)

Printify is one of the best POD suppliers that you can ever work with. It not only offers home décor items but also electronics, clothing, personalized jewelry, and more.

Printify Features

  • Design – all products in Printify are blank. You will upload your design, and the system will provide you with a mock-up. Then, you can use this mock-up for your marketing campaigns and product pages.
  • Integration – you can integrate the Printify system with Etsy, TikTok, eBay, and Amazon. If you dropship in your store/website, you can integrate Printify with BigCommerce, WooCommerce, Shopify, and more.
  • Catalog – the system has a huge catalog of blank products. For home décor, you can sell tapestries, house banners, plastic yard signs, wall art, canvas art, wall clocks, and more.

Printify is an excellent option if you want to dropship home decor products that are unique. The only challenge I can see here is the design. You must have unique design ideas. If you are not a designer or graphic artist, you can buy designs from sites like Canva or Creative Fabrica.

5. SaleHoo – best for affordable products

SaleHoo is one of the biggest product directories for dropshippers. Most of the products here are from China, which means it is an excellent product source for the Asian market.

SaleHoo Features

  • Product Volume – there are over two million products in SaleHoo’s database. The platform has coverage on all niches, except print-on-demand.
  • Vetted Sellers – the suppliers in SaleHoo all went through verification and must maintain a good record. If they don’t, SaleHoo will take action, which can cause them to be removed from the platform. There are more than 8,000 sellers or suppliers on SaleHoo.
  • SaleHoo Labs – this is the part of the platform where you can search for winning products for dropshipping. Each product you see here has stats that you can use to decide if it is worth selling or not.

SaleHoo has an integration option, but it only works with Shopify. You cannot use SaleHoo on other platforms. In addition, you can also automate your dropshipping store. There is a limit to the number of products you can import, but you can remove this limit if you upgrade your account.

Success Tips for Home Décor Dropshipping

How do you successfully sell home décor? I have four tips that can help you. These are:

  • Niche by room
  • Niche by function
  • Staging the products
  • Videos and social media

Let me explain each one.

1. Niche by room

When people look for home décor, they typically look for products that belong to the same room. For example, a person may want to decorate the bedroom or just the living room.

In this regard, it is a good idea to separate your products into these categories:

  • Living room
  • Bedroom
  • Kitchen & Dining
  • Patio & Garden

On your home décor dropshipping home page, I suggest that you show four images, one for each category. If a person clicks on a particular category, your store must send the viewer to a page that has products that belong to that category only.

What this does is it reduces friction among your products. If you want, you can also start your dropshipping store with one niche only. This way, you are not under pressure to fill your store with various home decor products in all these categories.

2. Niche by function

Not all décor items have the same function. For example, a wall art is for art, while a lamp is for lighting. The technique that I suggest is similar to the first one—separate the products by category of function.

Here are some ideas:

  • Lighting
  • Wall décor
  • Decluttering

So, if a person sees “lighting” as a category and clicks on it, he will see nothing but lamps and all sorts of lighting home décor.

Doing this can improve your conversion rate. If a person needs lighting, you just made it easier for this target consumer to find something he is looking for.

3. Staging the products

Do not rely on the product photos of your supplier. You can do better than them. You need to “stage” your product to get that specific look and feel for your marketing.

You do not need to buy the products and do the photography yourself. The smart way of doing this is with artificial intelligence.

A good example is Flair AI, a product photography program. Here is a quick look:

All it takes is to get a copy of your product, upload it to Flair, and then design the “stage.” Do this for all your products, and you will have a themed home décor dropshipping store.

Your store would look so professional if there was uniformity in your product photography. For more details about the AI tools you can use, I recommend that you read our blog: Dropshipping With AI: Tips on the Best AI and How to Use Them in Dropshipping.

4. Videos and social media

Lastly, you can increase your sales for home decor if you use social media. Photos are good, but they are not great. Videos are the king of marketing now.

What I suggest is you work with an influencer. You can find them in many places online. Usually, you must give them a product and a few dollars for them to give your brand or store a shoutout.

Think of this as something like sponsorship. The only challenge here is money. The more subscribers or followers an influencer has, the higher the cost of sponsorship.

If this kind of advertising is out of the question, you can advertise on social media the typical way. The last option, which is also the most practical, is to be an influencer yourself. Create videos that demonstrate your products.

The one challenge in creating your videos is that you need the product to be with you physically. This is fine because it is an investment. You can do multiple videos with one product. Compared to working with an influencer, you only get one to two videos per product you send to them.
