Because of this, I will provide you with a list of items that still fall into these categories, but I will break down the niches into those that you can dropship. These niches are:

Compatibility is also key. If it is compatible with Apple, mention it. If it is for Android only, mention it. Product descriptions like this make you trustworthy. 

Finally, I suggest that you make videos explaining why the product is useful. Sometimes, people do not know they need an item until you convince them that it is a necessity.

Toys and games are a staple product not just during Christmas but the whole year. However, you can expect to sell more toys in the Holiday Season because kids expect to receive toys at this time of the year. 

Here are some examples of toys you can sell:

As far as proof of product goes, what I mean is that in your ads, the customers should see what they would get. Most importantly, they have to see results. It is not enough that you show a photo of the product. 

You must create a video or image of the product applied to the body. For example, it is better to show the lipstick on a person’s lips rather than just showing a photo of the lipstick.  

4. Fashion & Accessories

Fashion and accessories cover a wide range of products. For Christmas, I recommend watches and jewelry because people do not buy these items all the time. They will only buy these things once every few years.

  • Be transparent; do not mislead consumers

To make your product more attractive, you have to work with suppliers who use attractive packaging materials, such as jewelry boxes. This strategy makes the jewelry look more expensive than it is. 

If possible, work only with supplies who can engrave names on the jewelry, not only on the box. People who buy these as gifts would certainly want to engrave the name of their loved ones on the jewelry or wristwatch.

For example, if you are selling an avocado slicer, it would be too difficult for the product viewer to imagine what the product does. The only solution to this is to create a video, an instructional one, to show how it works.  

It also makes sense to produce videos of food. It is important to give the consumer an idea of what kind of food they can prepare with this gadget. Sure, a toaster is a toaster, and it toasts bread. However, you are more likely to make a sale if you show sandwiches in the ad.

To be on the safe side, I suggest that you look for a supplier who is located in your target country. It is a guarantee that they are producing food supplements that are compliant with that country’s laws.

There is a wide selection of pet products that you can choose from. However, I suggest that you stick to pet toys and beds. Do not sell pet food or vitamins, as these products come with a liability.

Should you choose this niche, my suggestion is to niche down. A customer is more likely to buy if your store looks like a professional one dedicated to the type of pet they have. 

What I mean is that if you sell pet products for dogs, stay within that niche. Do not add pet products for iguanas and fish. While adding cat products is also fine, I still highly recommend that you keep it to dogs only. 

It would be great if you have a dog so you can take videos and use them in your ads. The videos can look like user-generated content, and you no longer have to pay others to create a video for you. 

If you do not have a pet, you can work with an influencer, like a dog trainer or cat trainer, and ask them to give you a shoutout in one of their videos. 

10. DIY & Crafting 

One of the best gifts that parents can give to their children is art. During Christmas time, some buyers may think that the children already have enough toys. As such, their go-to alternative is crafts.

2. CJDropshipping – best for targeting the Asian market

CJDropshipping is a China-based online marketplace built for dropshippers. The suppliers that you will find here are in China. I can say that this is a great supplier database if you want to target the Asian market.

  • Integration – you can integrate CJDropshipping not only with Shopify and other American storefronts but also with Asian marketplaces like Lazada.
  • Supplier Search – you can use the search bar to search for products. On top of that, if the product you are looking for is not in the system, you can send a request to the CJDropshipping team. They will look for a supplier for that product. If they succeed, you can post it in your dropshipping store, and they will take care of the ordering process. 
  • Print-on-Demand – there is a dedicated portion of the site for print-on-demand dropshipping. It is where you can find jewelry items that you can dropship. It is not only jewelry that they sell but other products, too, like shirts, mugs, etc. 

CJDropshipping is an excellent Christmas dropshipping option if you want to penetrate the Asian market. For Western markets, there will be a delay in shipping. Most suppliers in CJDropshipping offer affordable shipping prices, but these can take 30 days to complete.

3. Salehoo – best if you want lots of suppliers 

SaleHoo is best for people looking for dozens, or hundreds, of suppliers. The company began as a supplier database but has not expanded to integrating its system with Shopify like Spocket does.

  • Integration – you can integrate the SaleHoo system with your Shopify store. Recently, they also launched a program where you can automate your sales process. Once an order comes in, you no longer have to contact the supplier manually. 

SaleHoo also has a Market Research Labs feature. This is the part of the system where you can find products. Each thumbnail will show you basic product metrics. Once you do more research, you will see the sales trend of this product, and you can decide if it is worth selling.

In addition, you can also see several names of suppliers of the same product. It is now only a matter of choosing who among these is your preferred dropshipping partner. 

4. Printify – best for print-on-demand (POD)

Printify is one of the biggest POD systems in the world. On this site, you will find blank products that you can design online. You do not need to buy the product. Once ready, you can post the mock-up in your store and only order once you receive orders from your customer.

Dropified is like Spocket, but it focuses on high-end products. There was a time when they used to sell food supplements too, but this seem to have stopped as it can no longer be accessed on their website.
